Costruzione Italiana Macchine Attrezzi (CIMA - Italian Machine Tool Company) is founded.
In 1946 CIMA starts its own gear manufacturing the gears themselves as well as gear cutting machines.

TUV Italia certifies CIMA quality systems according to ISO 9002. The worldwide Formula One championship is won by Scuderia Ferrari fitted with gears manufactured by Cima.
